To Kill a Talking Bird is about the whodunit murder of my brother Brian Seagroves. Was it a corrupt Sheriff’s Department that hired him as an informant to bust drug lords? Was it the mafia whom he dealt with regularly, doing drug deals himself, or was it the estranged husband of his girlfriend? Who knows, but hopefully as the pages unravel, we will together discover the truth to this mystery. Throughout my brother's life, he always struggled. Brian had a hard time because he struggled with reading, a problem that carried over into high school. I will be the first one to admit that he was no angel; however, he did not deserve to die. No one does in the manner in which he did! He was loved by many people and he loved them in return. He really had a good heart and would do anything for anybody. I loved him with all my heart, and I always will. I hope by writing this book, his killer will read it, or someone who was involved will read it and come forward and tell what really happened to my brother. Every family deserves the right to know. I want to know. And I will spend my last breath trying to find out exactly what happened. Read more
